Bereavement Support AvailableIn that first week or two after your loved ones dies you will have many decisions to make and so much to do that you may barely have time to think, let alone grieve. There have probably been friends and relatives around you who have helped you with the immediate concerns of organising a funeral. You’ve possibly felt numb, perhaps even felt like you’re standing outside of yourself watching everything whirling around you. A lot of people feel like this when someone they love dies. You might even feel that you have to hold yourself together, be strong, for the sake of the loved ones who remain. All of these feelings are perfectly normal and predictable reactions to coping with grief.

Grief is as Individual as a SnowflakeYou may have had friends or family members who have continued to support you in the weeks and months after the funeral, but sooner or later, they have their own lives to get back to and there will come a time when no-one is available to comfort you, to talk to about how much you miss your loved one.
You may feel lonely and isolated. You could even feel overwhelmed with sadness and despair and not know how to change things and make yourself better. It’s at this stage that you may wish to consider our bereavement support service. All it takes is a phone call to us to get started. |
