A service sheet is traditionally a page or booklet that displays the funeral service details and often the words of the songs, hymns. Poems or readings that make up the service. You may fill the service sheet with photos or favourite sayings of the loved one for a lasting keepsake.

Service SheetsIdeally, they will be designed to reflect the deceased person's personality and share small insights into their life. Service sheets are often kept as a lasting memorial and come in many shapes and sizes.
The service sheet will almost always feature at least one photograph of the deceased person, and this is usually on the front page, along with their full name, nickname (if appropriate) and dates of birth and death. There will be several decisions regarding the information you want to convey and the style you would prefer. Our funeral directors can help you work through the choices available to you to end up with a service sheet that immediately brings your loved one to mind. |
When deciding what you want to be added to the service sheet, it’s wise to start with a favourite photo, preferably of a good size and quality, that will print well. The image you choose for the front page could be of your loved one when they were in their prime or later years.
You may also like to include a photo of them in their youth to be placed elsewhere on the sheet. The service sheet works best with a few well-chosen images, which can be shown to the best effect rather than trying to fit lots of photos into a small space. |
