You can choose to use a celebrant, clergy or family member to officiate a funeral or memorial. There are many things to consider, the wishes of the deceased and family and the size and type of ceremony. We have included some aspects you can consider when making a decision.

Choosing a CelebrantIf your loved one did not follow a particular religion or was not interested in cultural rituals, they may wish to choose to have a celebrant conduct the funeral service.
We have several wonderful celebrants we have worked with and can put you in touch with them. You can then discuss the type of service you would like with them, and they can create the ceremony that you want. |
Many religious organisations have particular rituals surrounding death. They have specific steps that must be taken and rites that need to be observed.
Our Funeral Director, on your behalf, can contact the local priest, minister or other religious or cultural leaders, asking them to officiate at or contribute their knowledge to the funeral service. We will liaise with them regarding their particular requirements. |
